Katherine L. Shadbolt graduated with a BA (Hons) from Queen's University and an LLB from the Dalhousie University Law School. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1986. Since 1993, Ms. Shadbolt has been a partner at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP, focusing her practice exclusively in the area of family law. She is a trained mediator, and regularly acts as a seminar leader at the University of Ottawa Law School and as a mediation coach with the Stitt Feld Handy Group. Ms. Shadbolt has completed a number of courses in the area of dispute resolution, including mediation and advanced negotiation courses at Harvard University. She has also chaired seminars, authored and presented papers on a range of family law issues. From 2003 to 2008, she served on The Advocates' Society Family Law Task Force.
