Program Description
This critical program is designed to help participants prepare for and conduct effective family law motions. Attend and receive the necessary tools, precedents and tips on what to do (and how to do it!) after the Case Conference where a motion is necessary. You will be provided with valuable advice about the do’s and don’ts of a family law motion. Participants will hear directly from esteemed judges and senior practitioners of the family bar on how to prepare, draft materials and conduct a family law motion, as well as strategies for avoiding common traps.

Register for the morning only featuring presentations, demonstrations and critique by noted faculty. Or stay for the full day including afternoon skills workshop for hands-on exercises. In this learning-by-doing skills workshop, you will get the unique opportunity to argue a mock motion in a safe learning environment where you will receive constructive feedback from trained faculty. Gain practical advice on preparation, development of argument, strategy and receiving the relief you are seeking. Advance preparation is required. Spots are limited for the skills workshop.
