TAS Responds to Premier Ford's Comments about Appointing 'Like-Minded' Judges to the Bench in Ontario

The Advocates' Society has written to Premier Doug Ford to remind him that political partisanship should never play a role in the appointment of judges or justices of the peace to the Ontario Court of Justice, and that to suggest otherwise undermines the independence of the judiciary and public confidence in the fair, impartial administration of justice in Ontario.
