Reena is senior counsel in the BMO Legal Department. She manages and oversees class proceedings, securities litigation, regulatory proceedings and all other banking litigation including fraud cases. Reena was previously in private practice for several years, and was a commercial litigation partner at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP prior to joining the CIBC Legal Department and recently moved to BMO Financial Group. She has authored and co-authored papers on shareholders’ issues, competition law and insurance matters that have been published in various legal publications, and that have also been used in continuing legal education programs. Reena was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1995 and the Ontario Bar in 1999. She received her B.Sc. from McGill University and her LLB from Osgoode Hall. Reena is a member of The Advocates’ Society and the Association of Corporate Counsel, and is also on the Board of Directors of The Advocates’ Society. She has participated in various continuing legal education courses as a speaker and panel member, has taught the Bar Admissions course for the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a skills instructor with The Advocates' Society.
