New Toronto Courthouse and Toronto Region Bail Centre Committees
Interested in being a part of the planning process for the new Toronto courthouse and Toronto Region bail centre? The Ministry of the Attorney General, in consultation with the Ontario Court of Justice, has developed a new justice participant committee structure to support the planning process leading up to the opening of both the bail centre and new courthouse in 2022.
The following committees will be struck:
Read an overview of the new committee structure here
- New Toronto courthouse and Toronto Region bail centre operational advisory committee
- Trial scheduling committee
- IT/remote appearances committee
- Operational committee
- Specialty court committees for each specialty court: Indigenous persons, mental health, drug treatment and youth
The Advocates' Society has been invited to have a participant on each committee above. We are pleased to extend the opportunity to our members to indicate their interest in sitting on a committee.
