First came Fall Convention. Then Fall Forum. And now, we proudly introduce Winter Summit - the first destination conference dedicated to you:
the mid-career advocate!
Our vision? Winter Summit (aka The Big Chill Ottawa) will bring together mid-career advocates from coast to coast for conversations and learning on topics that are tailored to this unique stage of your career – all in an extraordinary, collegial atmosphere! The Winter Summit will be hosted in a fabulous new Canadian winter destination every other year.
Our first stop? Winter Summit: The Big Chill Ottawa will bring delegates like you to our Nation's capital from February 1 to 3, 2024 to enjoy a sophisticated retreat at the
Historic Fairmont Château Laurier.
Why Ottawa? Besides being the home of Canada's top court, our Federal lawmakers and outstanding legal talent (including from Canada's largest law firm, the Department of Justice), we've made sure our first Big Chill attendees will have access to the winter fun at Ottawa’s famous Winterlude festival. And we are delighted that two Supreme Court of Canada Judges, The Hon. Justice Suzanne Côté and The Hon. Justice Mahmud Jamal will be joining us in-person for a Fireside Chat at the Château Laurier.
We have assembled a stellar Faculty of your peers from private practice to government, large firms and small, with experience to back-up their advice. And our Agenda combines plenary panels with peer to peer roundtable discussions to provide opportunities for candid discussion, networking, and the collegiality you have come to expect when you attend a TAS conference.
Spaces for the conference and hotel block will be limited so early booking is recommended. See the Accommodations tab for more information on how to book.
