In Memoriam: Eric R. Hoaken

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our friend and fellow Board member Eric Hoaken on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  Eric was a committed member of The Advocates’ Society for nearly two decades. A gifted counsel, Eric was an excellent teacher and mentor. Eric chaired of dozens of TAS programs, including the Court House Series, Spring Symposium and Fall Convention. His passion for advocacy and for people touched and benefited hundreds of our members and members of our profession. We are proud and honoured to have had Eric as part of our community. Eric had many, many friends in our profession. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to Eric’s family (Lisa and their children, Greta, Miles, Thea and Celia) and his colleagues at Lax O’Sullivan Lisus Gottlieb. Obituary here.
