Launch of PBO/TAS Consumer Protection Initiative

Launch of PBO/TAS Consumer Protection Initiative - The Advocates' Society (TAS) and Pro Bono Ontario (PBO) are proud to announce a new partnership that aims to help low-income consumers, many of whom are seniors, who are facing the effects of predatory door-to-door sales.  The launch and information session will take place on November 27, 2019 in Toronto and interested volunteers will receive an overview of the program, and learn about applicable law and lessons learned from previous cases PBO and their volunteers have handled. Lawyers interested in participating in the pro bono roster to take on door-to-door sales cases through this initiative are encouraged to attend. The event is free of charge.
