TAS writes to Attorney General of Ontario and LSO Treasurer on PBO Law Help Centre Closure

TAS wrote to The Honourable Caroline Mulroney, Attorney General of Ontario, and Mr. Malcolm Mercer, Treasurer of the Law Society of Ontario, urging them to consider providing financial support to maintain the operation of Pro Bono Ontario's Law Help Centres.  The Law Help Centres, two of which are based in Toronto and one of which is based in Ottawa, are scheduled to close on December 14, 2018 due to the absence of sustained funding. The Law Help Centres serve more than 18,000 self-represented litigants each year.
